Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser!
I'm super excited about today's post! Those of you who knew me before I
bought Paper Pretties know that for the past 4 years I've used my
personal blog to help a friend of mine raise money of the Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation. This year, I'm thrilled to be able to help out as a
friend and a business owner.
My good friend Chava (who I've known for more than 30 years) has a 4 1/2 year old son, Alex. Shortly after Alex was born, he was diagnosed with having Cystic Fibrosis. For those of you unfamiliar with CF here is a brief description:
Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that: clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections; and obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.
Here is where the exciting part comes in... from now through the end of May, all proceeds from the sale of the following digital images will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis:
In addition to donating proceeds from the sale of these digital images, I also have a challenge for all of you... I have put together a Papercrafting prize package worth over $100. The pack includes designer paper, embellishments, ribbon and stamps. Anyone who donates to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through Chava's Cystic Fibrosis link HERE will have their name put in for a chance to win. I do NOT need to know how much you donate, it can be $1 or $50...whatever you can donate is fine. After donating please come back on leave a comment on this blog post letting me know that you donated. I will keep this open through May 18th and will announce the winner on May 19th! In addition to the grand prize winner, 3 additional winners will receive 10 digital images of their choice.
